Gas Detectors with IR
MGC IR
The Gas Clip MGC IR offers reliability on sensing flammable and toxic gases at an affordable price. The unit uses electrolyte cells for detecting H2S, O2 and CO but has an infra red sensor for detecting flammables. This ends all of the problems of cell poisoning for this sensor (see the IR Comparison document). It has a much faster reaction time and will perform where other units either can't or require different pelistors fitted. So if you have a problem with pellistor life or need to look for Jet A1 or kerosene this unit will give you a correct alarm unlike so many other units.
The low power required for running the IR cell also means it has a 60 day run time for the diffusion model.
This unit is perfect for the aircraft and petro chemical industry as well as for tank cleansing where fuels may be the main target gas.
The unit is also IP rated 6 for dust and 1-5 and 7 for water so it is waterproof to 1 metre for 30 minutes.
All charging options are available from 12 to 240v.

MGC P IR

But has an infra-red sensor for detecting flammables. This ends all of the problems of cell poisoning for this sensor (see the IR Comparison document). It has a much faster reaction time and will perform where other units either can't or require different pelistors fitted. So if you have a problem with pellistor life or need to look for Jet A1 or kerosene this unit will give you a correct alarm unlike so many other units.
The low power required for running the IR cell also means it has a 40 hour run time meaning it will always deliver readings even if your working time runs on.

The unit is also IP rated 6 for dust and 1-5 and 7 for water so it is waterproof to 1 metre for 30 minutes although water can of course be drawn into the unit through the sampling tube.

Gas-Pro IR
Gas-Pro is a compact unit offering detection of up to 5 gases at a time with single button operation.
It has multiple alarms with an audible 95dB alarm, bright red/blue all angle LED's and vibrating alerts to provide warning of gas hazards. The top mount display is backlit with a dual colour backlight (green/red).
The Gas-Pro has an 14 hour (13 for pumped operation) battery life with a rechargeable Li-ion and the charge time is around 7.5hrs. It is ATEX approved and rated IP65 and IP67.
The unit can log 125 hours of data at 10 second intervals with a total of 45,000 log entries.
The Gas-Pro unit is available for fresh water or with a customisable set of sensors.

Altair 5X IR
The rugged, multi-featured ALTAIR 5X Multigas Detector boasts several options that provide maximum safety and make it easy to use in even the most demanding situations. It features large buttons for easy use, and its polycarbonate housing protects the detector for drops of up to 10 ft (3 m). PS500 IR
The PS500 is a rugged, small and lightweight portable gas detector with a simple two button operation which is user friendly.
The PS500 has a high intensity penetrating and distinctive audible alarm (95dBA) that is particularly useful in noisy environments, together with a bright visual alarm.
The PS500 offered is set up for CH4 & O2.
The PS500 can also be configured for fresh water use or with a customisable set of sensors to meet your detection needs.
