Cable Avoidance
EZiCAT xf
The Network Rail approved EZiCAT xf units are truly smart cable locators that have mulitple modes of operation.
All xf locators can use any one of 4 transmitter mode frequencies of 8kHz, 33kHz, 512Hz and 640Hz. This helps pinpoint services that are otherwise difficult to tell apart. A radio mode to trace signals from distant radio transmittters and a power mode for locating power signals radiated from energized cables.
- Mode Lock: automatically starts in the last mode of operation for ease of use
- Hazard Zone: provides an additional warning of the close proximaty of buried services.
- Pinpoint Assist: maintains the hightest peak reading obtained to allow the operator to accuratly pinpiont a service
- Signal Strength Indicator: enables tracing of individual services amoungst multiple serivices when connected to an EZiTEX transmitter

EZiTEX
The EZiTEX Signal Transmitters are designed to ensure that your cable detector works to the best of its ability.
The transmitters offer frequencies of 8Hz, 33Hz, 512Hz and 640Hz and can be supplied with a power output of either a 1 or 3 watts.
The units all have a built in self-test facility so as to ensure they are working prior to use.
C.A.T4 Cable Avoidance
The C.A.T4 and Genny4 are designed to locate buried pipes and cables prior to any excavation keeping operators safe and allowing utility management at minimum risk and cost. With a clear backlit display, mode controls and sensitivity at your fingertips the units are easy to use and provide reliable results.
The C.A.T4 and Genny4 offer a number of features designed to support safe working and reduce utiltiy strike rates.
Avoidance Scan
This feature allows the user to sweep an area searching for Power, Radio and Genny signals simultaneously, dramatically speeding up pre dig survey times and encouraging the full use of all three modes of reducing costs and improving safety.
StrikeAlert
Although work practices and guidelines insist power cables are buried below a certain depth, a common cause of cable strike is shallow depth. The StrikeAlert feature warns the user to shallow buried cables and utilities.
Swing Warning
This option is only available with the gC.A.T4+. This ground breaking feature warns operators of incorrect usage to promote best working practices.
Genny4 Signal Boost
Alongside its familiar standard power mode, Genny4 provides a Signal Boost feature which increases the output signal by up to a factor of 10, enabling operators to locate utilities deeper and over greater distances.
For surveying and reporting the gC.A.T4+ features usage monitoring and GPS logging which provides data on not only when and how, but also where the unit was being used. These can be linked to the C.A.T. Manager which is a survey and usage analysis tool that enables review of the usage information along with survey notes and pictures which can be validated on Google maps.
